Overview

Transforming Women’s Health (previously known as Controversies in Women’s Health) will enable health care providers to improve care of female patients by presenting emerging scientific and clinical evidence related to medical conditions that are unique to women, occur more frequently in women or present differently in women. The course includes presentations from key women's health specialty and subspecialty disciplines including obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive medicine, sexual health, menopausal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine and preventive medicine.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the sex-based differences in stroke risk
  • Summarize management of uterine fibroids
  • Employ a personalized approach to the use of menopausal hormone therapy

Intended Audience

This annual course is designed for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and others who are committed to advancing the quality of care for their female patients.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel your participation in this course, your registration fee, less a $75 administrative fee, will be refunded when written notification is received by Mayo Clinic Office of Women's Health via Mayo Clinic General Internal Medicine CME before May 30, 2018 (email: rstgimcme@mayo.edu). No refunds will be made on or after May 30, 2018. Canceled registrations are non-transferable.

Mayo Clinic Office of Women's Health reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances.
